Notebook
A single personal hub with real modules instead of five half-used apps: habits with stages and streaks, hobbies you've drifted from, watched films with reviews, and recipes with a times-cooked counter.
- 4
- modules shipped
- 1
- app instead of five
- FastAPI
- SQLite
- React
- Vite
- TypeScript
- Tailwind
The problem
Habit trackers, a watchlist, a recipe box and a notes app — four subscriptions, four logins, and none of them talking to each other or surviving an export.
My role
Sole author.
What I built
- 01
Habits with a per-habit default, current/next/conquered stages and streaks that don't shame you for one missed day.
- 02
Hobbies as log-only, no schedule — the point is seeing what you've quietly stopped doing.
- 03
Films with rating, genre tags and a review; recipes with tags, a wishlist and a counter for how often you actually cook them.
- 04
Deployed behind single sign-on with its own backup path, and shipped continuously rather than in big releases.
Outcome
Replaced four apps, and the data is mine in a file I can read.
Notes and routine modules are next, on the same backbone.
